Author's pov:
In London
The sunrays peeking through the curtains falling right on Arjun's face laying on the bed , half naked, on his stomach .
Ayush gently knocked on the door from the outside, but there was no response from inside, so he entered the room. " Good morning, Bhai ". He went and sat down on the bed next to Arjun.
Ayush Started shaking him to wake him up. " Bhai uthiye aap abhi tak so rahe hai mujhe to excitement mai neend hi nahi aayi, hum 10 saal baad ghar wapas Jaa rahe hai or aap hai ke uthne ka nam hi nhi le rahe" exitement in his voice.
"Are yaar bhai uthiye" He started shaking him again.
"Hmm?" Arjun humms in his sleepy tone
"lagta hai aap bhabhi ke sapne dekh rahe hai isiliye nhi uth rahe" Ayush went closer to Arjun and whispered in his ear in a teasing manner.
Arjun chuckled and turned his neck to the side and slowly opened his eyes.
"kya baat hai bhai?, bhabhi ka naam sunte hi aapki to neend hi gayab ho gayi jab aap unhe apne saamne dekhoge tab aapke kya hoga , My Dear Brother" Ayush hugged him from behind and said teasingly.
Arjun stopped smiling and gently nudged Ayush with his elbow. "Ouch!" Ayush moved away from Arjun.
"maara kyu?" Ayush said, furrowing his brows.
Arjun sat up. gazed at Ayush. "bahar nikal" He said firmly, still in a sleepy voice.
Ayush frowned and gazed at Arjun.
Arjun uncovered his blanket."mene kaha bahar nikal" his voice was firm.
Before Ayush could say anything, Arjun grabbed his wrist, pulled him off the bed, and dragged him outside the room and closed the door.
"Are bhai... bhai suniye to" Ayush kept knocking on the door from the outside, but Arjun didn't answer.
"iska hisab lekar rahunga aapse" Ayush screamed from the outside of the room and left.
Arjun shook his head and went into the bathroom to take a shower.
Time skip
Arjun came out of the bathroom, drying his hair with a towel. He threw the towel onto the bed.
His gaze fell on the locket lying on the bedside table (the one Nandini had given him). He picked up the locket in his hand and smiled. It was as if he could feel Nandini's presence. He was reminiscing about Nandini and their childhood memories.
" Mai aa raha hu" he said with a wide smile and put the locket around his neck and smiled continuously.

In Mumbai
Nandini and Khushi slept in their room and Sharda made a breakfast in the kitchen.
"Nandu, Khushi " Sharda screamed from the kitchen, but there was no response from their side.
"subha ke 10 a.m. baj gaye or yeh dono abhi tak so rahi hai " Sharda said this as she walked towards his room, firm in her voice.
"Are kumbhkaran ki aaulado utho" Sharda said while pulling their blanket.
" kya hai maa , sone dijiye na" Nandini said to her mother in her sleep
"haa maa , sone dijiye na waise bhi aap roz-roz thodi meri school ki chutti karwati ho" Khushi also said to her mother in her sleep.
" to sone ke liye teri chutti karai hai kya?" Sharda pulled Khushi Cheek and said softly.
" vo to Arjun or Ayush beta itne saalo baad ghar wapas aa rahe hai" Sharda said with a gentle smile on her face. Nandini opened her eyes after hearing Arjun's name.
"aaj unke pure pariwar ke liye khushi ka din hai or bhaisahab chahte hai ki hum log bhi unki iss khushi mein shamil ho" Sharda voice filled with emotions and her eyes filled with affection.
Nandini uncovered her face from the blanket and sat up, stretching. Then she stood up from bed and hugged her mother.
"Good morning, maa" Her voice was still sleepy.
Sharda placed her hand on Nandini's head and smiled.
"Good morning, mother India " Khushi also got up and hugged her mother, her voice was also sleepy.
Sharda also placed her hand on Khushi's head.
Nandini started taking her clothes out of the wardrobe.
"aap to aise khush ho rahi hai jaise aap ke hi bacche wapas aa rahe ho" Khushi pulled her mother's cheeks and said softly.
" haan to.... vo dono mere liye apne bachche jaise hi to hain,to unke aane ki khushi to hogi hi na" Sharda said in a soft voice and started folding the blanket.
"aise mat boliye maa... Ragini Singhania ko bura lag jaayega" Nandini said in a Sarcastic tone.
"tujse kitni baar kaha hai apne se bado ko naam se nahi bulate" Sharda gazed at Nandini and said, her voice was firm but soft.
Nandini smirked.
"or mujhe samajh nahi aata tujhe bhabhi se kya problem hain?"
Khushi was sitting on the bed, listening to them talk.
"mujhe unse koi problem nahi hain, Ragini Singhania kudh ek problem hain" Nandini turned and looked at Sharda, her voice was firm also mocking.
Khushi giggled.
"tu na bas aise hi bakwas karti hain, main jaa rahi hoon Singhania mansion" Sharda said firmly and left from their room.
"haan-haan...jao-jao, apke bina unka welcome thodi na ho payega" Nandini murmured, firm in her voice
Nandini stopped while taking off her clothes when she saw the locket that Arjun had given her. Nandini took the locket in her hand and started thinking about Arjun and their childhood memories, and also their last conversation.
Suddenly, anger flashed across her face.
She clutched the locket in his fist "maa kam thi kya jeena haram karne ke liye? jo ab beta bhi wapas aa raha hain" she thought, hate was visible in her eyes.
Then she throw the locket into the wardrobe and closed it angrily.
Khushi quietly slipped into the bathroom, avoiding Nandini's gaze, and locked the door from the inside.
Nandini heard the sound and went towards the bathroom door . "Khushi...Khushi bahar nikal, pehle mujhe nahaana hai" Nandini started knocking loudly on the door.
"Sorry Dii, jo pehele bathroom mein aayega wo hi nahega, aapne hi to rule banaya hai" Khushi said from inside the bathroom, amused in her voice.
"Khushi ki bachchi,,,,tu bahar nikal phir tujhe batati hoon" Nandini screamed from the outside.

In Singhania mansion
All the servants prepared for the evening party. Grandmother prepared the aarti thali in the prayer's room to welcome Arjun and Ayush. Gautam sat on the sofa and drank coffee.
"aapne, Arjun bhaiya or Ayush ke kamre ki cleaning acche se karwa di na" Swara hurriedly asked a servant.
"ji bhabhi" a servent nodded.
"or...or aarti ki thal ?" Swara asked.
" vo to manie kudh apne haato se taiyaar ki hain, Swara bahu" Grandma said with a warm smile while coming towards the hall.
"Are Swara bahu, tum itni tension kyu le rahi ho, saare kaam acche se ho jayenge " Devendra said, his voice was soft and calm.
" tension kaise na lu papaji, aap to mummy ji ko jaante hi hain na unhe har cheez perfect chahiye hoti hain" Swara said in a nervous voice. "isse pehle ki vo sab kudh check kare mai hi ek baar dekh leti hoon" Swara said.
"waise, Maa hain kahan? kahi dikhai nahi de rahi" Gautam looked around and asked them.
" kaise dikhai degi, subha se kitchen mein dono baccho ke pasand ka khana banane mein jo lagi hain" Grandma said smilingly.
"are maa ji, itne saalo baad bacche ghar wapas aa rahe hain to sab kuch unki pasand ka hi hona chahiye na" Sharda said coming towards them inside the house.
" haan, kaash mere liye bhi kabhi meri pasand ka kuch banaya hota" Gautam thought while making a frown face.
" thik kaha bhabhi, itne saalo baad bache ghar wapas aayenge" Devendra said , his voice soft and his eyes filled with emotions.
Ragini came out of the kitchen calling Swara's name. "Swara bahu......Swara bahu"
All the family members gaze shifted towards Ragini.
"kya hua Ragini itni jaldi mai Swara bahu ko kyu bula rahi ho?" Devendra asked curiously.
"agar koi kaam hai to mujhe bata dijiye bhabhi , mai aapki madad kar deti hoon" Sharda said, her voice soft.
"nhi, hume kisi ki madad ki jaroorat nhi hain hum sab khud kar lenge" Ragini said arrogantly.
Sharda lowered her gaze.
"ji, mummy jii ?" Swara quickly came to Ragini.
"Swara bahu, humne kaha tha na Arjun or Ayush ke kamron ki safai karwane ki responsibility tumhari hain, kaam hua ki nhi?" Ragini asked , her voice hard and sharp.
" jii, jaise aapne bataya tha sab kuch uss hisab se hi kiya hain" Swara nodded and said softly.
" or aarti ki thal vo taiyaar ki ya nhi?"
" vo bhi ready hai dadi ne khud apne haatho se taiyaar ki hain" Swara looked at grandmother and said softly.
" thank you, mummy jii" Ragini gazed at grandma, smiled and said , her voice was soft and calm.
" are isme thank you ki kya baat hain sirf tumhare bete hi wapas thodi aa rahe hain mere pote bhi to aa rahe hain na" grandma said proudly.
"are Ragini, sab kaam acche se ho jaenge phele tum tension lena band karo" Devendra placed his hand on Ragini's shoulders and said to clam her down.
"tension kaise na le Devendra jii, Arjun or Ayush kisi bhi waqt aate honge or abhi itni saari taiyaari karna baaki hai" Ragini said in a tense voice
"Hey bhagwan..... humne to kheer gas pe chadayi thi humari kheer..." Ragini said placing her hand on her forehead and quickly ran towards the kitchen.

Khushi had breakfast at the dinning table , Nandini got ready and started leaving the house in a hurry.
Khushi gazed at her and asked " Oh hello madam!, kaha jaa rahi ho aaj to office ki bhi chutti hai na ?"
Nandini stopped. " Vo... main Neha{her bestfriend} ke ghar jaa rahi hu kuch jaroori kaam hai" she replied softly, but with hesitation.
" kya kaam hai?" Khushi asked, her voice laced with curiosity.
Nandini stared at Khushi. " Tujhse matlab"
Nandini went out the house. As she stepped outside, her gaze feel on Niharika (the girl whom Ragini wants to marry Arjun) was coming inside . She ignored Niharika and looked straight ahead.
" lagta hai kahi jaa rahi ho?" Niharika stopped her from behind and asked
She made a frown face and then turned towards Niharika with a forced smile and said "haa thoda jaruri kaam hai wahi karne jaa rahi hu".
Niharika smirked." kyu? aaj to Arjun or Ayush wapas aa rahe hai unke welcome ke liye nhi aaogi kya?" Niharika asked,
" Mujhe koi shauk nhi hai kisi ki welcome ceremony mein aane ka" Nandini said, her voice calm but firm.
Nandini placed her hand on her shoulder. "Or waise bhi tum aa gayi ho na unka acche se welcome karne ke liye"
"Accha hai, kam se kam itni sharam to bachi hai tumhare andar, humare kuch bolne se phele hi yaha se jaa rhi ho" Ragini came towards them and said in a sarcastic voice.
Nandini and Niharika's gaze immediately shifted on Ragini.
Ragini smiled and placed her hand on Niharika's head. Niharika also smiled back. Nandini made a face looking at both of them. Ragini angrily turned her gaze towards Nandini.
"Or haan Arjun ke aane ke baad uske aas- pass mat matakti rehna, usse jitna ho sake dur rehna" Ragini said, arrogance in her voice.
Nandini smirked. " Mujhe na.... koi shauk nhi hai aapke bete ke aas- pass matakne ka, haan lekin aapke bete ko yeh baat jaroor samjha dena kahi aap jo keh rahi hai uska ulta na ho jaaye" Nandini said in a sarcastic tone.
Ragini smirked. "Tum jaisi ladkiyon ko hamara beta dekhna bhi pasand nhi karta" Ragini said, proud but firm in her voice.
"Usse, Niharika jaisi high- class ladkiyan pasand hai, tumhari jaisi low class ladki nhi" Ragini placed her hand on Niharika's shoulder and said
"are auntie, aap kyo iski wajah se apna mood spoil kar rahi hai, iski to aadat hai logo ka mood kharab karne ki, just let it go" Niharika said to Ragini while making a face towards Nandini.
Niharika gazed Nandini and said "Ohh hello! tumhe to kahi jaana tha na, to jao na yaha khadi kyu ho" firm in her voice.
Nandini glared at both of them angrily and walked away.
Ragini and Niharika smirked while looking at Nandini from behind.
